The Free TAFE for 300 Veterans announced is to assist current transitioning members achieve successful Civilian Employment Opportunities. This funding allows up to 300 ADF transitioning members to access approximately $3000 to be put towards a course of their choosing. It is to be used in conjunction with State Funding and Defence Force Transition Program Funding if eligible.
To be eligible for this funding, you will need to be able to meet the following criteria:-
- Be currently transitioning or transitioned in the last 2 years.
- Proof of Queensland Residency (Drivers Licence)
- Proof of Australian Citizenship (DVA White/Gold Card)
Please be advised that this funding may not cover the entire cost of the course. As some courses may exceed the funding amount, there may be a gap cost for the course.
